    Why nearshore development?

Nearshoring means building your software with a team in a nearby country — close enough to share working hours, far enough for the cost structure to be fundamentally different. For companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Turkey sits in that sweet spot: one hour ahead of Berlin, three hours from most European hubs by plane, and with an engineering labour market that is a fraction of the DACH cost level.

The difference to classic offshoring is the overlap. A team in Istanbul joins your standup at 9:00, answers in your Slack at 15:00 and ships in the same sprint rhythm as your internal people. There is no overnight handover, no waiting a day for an answer, and no cultural distance to manage around European product expectations.

The difference to hiring locally is speed and risk. A senior developer in Germany takes three to four months to hire and comes with a permanent contract, employer contributions and a recruiter fee of roughly a fifth of the first-year salary. A nearshore seat is live in weeks, and the commitment matches the length of your project.

    Team Builder - Why Turkey?

Turkey is not the cheapest place to write software. It is the place where cost, seniority and time zone line up best for European companies.

    • Depth of the talent pool. Turkish universities graduate well over 100,000 engineering and IT students a year, and Istanbul alone hosts the development centres of dozens of international product companies. That means real senior candidates for niche roles — not just generalists.
    • One hour to Central Europe. Istanbul is UTC+3, one hour ahead of Berlin and Zurich. The whole working day overlaps: standups, reviews, pair sessions and incident calls all happen live, in your hours.
    • European working culture. Engineers here work with the same stacks, tools and review standards as teams in Munich or Amsterdam. English is the working language; many have studied or worked in the EU.
    • Cost structure, not cheap labour. The saving comes from salary levels, employer contributions and office costs — not from lower seniority. You get the same experience level for 40–60% less than the German equivalent.

What a dedicated development team actually is

A dedicated team is not a pool of freelancers you rent by the hour. It is a fixed group of named people who work only on your product, sit in your tools, follow your process and stay long enough to build real domain knowledge. You steer priorities; we handle employment, retention, hardware and everything else that comes with running an engineering organisation.

That distinction matters commercially. Project outsourcing prices a deliverable and passes every change through a change request. A dedicated team prices capacity — you keep the roadmap, and changing direction next sprint costs nothing extra.

    • You own the backlog. Priorities, architecture decisions and definition of done stay with you. We supply the people and the delivery discipline around them.
    • Named, exclusive people. The same engineers on your product every sprint. No rotating bench, no shared allocation across three clients.
    • Your code, your infrastructure. Everything is committed to your repositories and deployed to your cloud accounts from day one. There is no lock-in to unwind if you take the team in-house.

Team Builder - How Melexsoft helps

We have been building software out of Istanbul for European clients since our first delivery — with German-speaking management on the client side and senior engineers on the delivery side. Nearshoring is not a product we sell; it is how we deliver.

    • Role profiles in days. We start from the configuration you built here, sharpen it in a 45-minute intake call, and send CVs for each role — usually within a week.
    • You interview, you decide. Every candidate goes through your own interview loop. Nobody joins your team without your yes.
    • German-speaking steering. Requirements, reporting and escalations run through management that understands DACH expectations, contracts and compliance.
    • An AI-first delivery workflow. Our engineers run AI coding agents as part of their daily workflow. That is a second multiplier on top of the location advantage — fewer people, more shipped.

Team Builder - Frequently asked questions

Assemble your dedicated software team in Turkey and see the monthly cost, annual investment and savings versus hiring in Germany — live, role by role. Nearshore developers, designers and DevOps from Istanbul.

How much does a nearshore software team cost?

A fully loaded nearshore seat in Istanbul ranges from roughly €1,800 per month for a junior QA engineer to about €7,400 for a lead AI engineer, at our long-term rate. A typical four-person product squad — one senior fullstack developer, one mid frontend developer, one designer and a project manager — lands around €14,000–16,000 per month. The rate includes salary, employer contributions, delivery management, workplace and equipment; there are no hidden per-hour extras.

    Why hire developers in Turkey?

Because it combines a deep senior talent pool with a one-hour time difference to Central Europe and a cost level 40–60% below German salaries. More than 100,000 engineering graduates enter the market each year, Istanbul hosts development centres for many international product companies, and the working culture, tooling and English proficiency match what European teams expect. You are not trading seniority for price — you are trading location cost.

What is a dedicated development team?

A dedicated team is a fixed group of named engineers who work exclusively on your product, inside your tools and your process, for the duration of the engagement. You own the backlog and the technical decisions; we handle employment, retention, hardware and delivery management. Unlike project outsourcing, you are buying capacity rather than a fixed deliverable, so changing priorities mid-sprint costs nothing extra.

What is the difference between outsourcing and nearshoring?

Outsourcing describes the commercial relationship: work done by an external provider instead of your own staff. Nearshoring describes the geography: that provider sits in a nearby country with overlapping working hours, rather than eight time zones away. You can outsource offshore, nearshore or onshore. The practical difference for a European company is that nearshoring keeps daily collaboration synchronous — same day, same sprint, same call — while still changing the cost base.

How quickly can a team be assembled?

For common roles — frontend, backend, fullstack, QA — we present candidate profiles within about a week and can have people onboarded two to three weeks after your go-ahead. Specialist roles such as AI or data engineering usually take three to five weeks. Compare that with roughly fourteen weeks to fill a senior position on the German market, and the ramp-up difference is often worth more than the rate difference.

Can developers work exclusively for our company?

Yes. In every model the people assigned to you work only on your product — there is no shared allocation across clients. In the Nearshore Subsidiary model exclusivity goes further: the team is employed under your own Turkish entity, carries your company email and identity, and becomes part of your organisation rather than ours.

What is the Nearshore Subsidiary model?

We incorporate a development company in Turkey that belongs to you, recruit the team into it and run the administration — payroll, compliance, HR, office and equipment. You get the lowest recurring cost per seat (about 20% below our standard rate) in exchange for a one-time setup fee and a monthly administration fee. It suits companies that want a permanent engineering presence rather than a project team, and it can be taken fully in-house later.
