Infrastructure as Code

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is the practice of defining and managing cloud infrastructure through code files — Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK — rather than through manual console clicks. Your entire cloud environment (VPCs, databases, Kubernetes clusters, IAM roles) is version-controlled, reviewable, and reproducible. Destroy the whole environment and rebuild it exactly from code in 30 minutes.

Observability is the practice of instrumenting your software systems so you can understand their internal state from external outputs — metrics, logs, and traces. Monitoring alerts you when something goes wrong; observability tells you why. A well-observable system lets an engineer diagnose a production incident in minutes using data, not guesswork.
